DUBROOM
ORIGINAL REGGAE MIDIFILES
http://midi.dubroom.org |
 |
|
|
The dubroom has
the largest collection of original Reggae midifiles on
the internet. And the best part is, that ALL of them
are original Dubroom productions too. They have been
accredited by such as the Scientist. As early as 1997 we
have been releasing midifiles online! But we're no
longer offering new midifiles. However, our archive is
still online, so download them for your pleasure.
Any
musical release by any non-Dubroom artist after roughly
1998, which may resemble any of the midifiles, can
safely be assumed to be either plagiate or an authorized
use.

DUBROOM
MIDIPACKS |
|
It has come to our attention, that the
midifiles are used without prior permission as basis for
certain (online) artists who claim they think we put these
musical works online for them to remix.
Artists like "Skream", even,
makes uses these midi's as basis for commercial releases
without even crediting this website and/or the producers
of the original midi files. (just compare "Blue
Eyez" with "Rock
The Nation In Dub")
But just
because we are now living in a time wherein midi has
gone back to the studio does NOT mean you can use these
files like they are public domain for they are not.
Please respect our works. They
were posted online in the times BEFORE MP3 (yes,
there was such a time on the Internet) and they are just
as much finished works as our audio releases.
If you want to use any of the material
on this page, we kindly ask that you contact the Dubroom
for permission before putting any material online or
releasing in any other form. |

| MESSIAN
DREAD - ETHIOPIAN DUB |
| Another
congregation of spiritual dubwize midi
files. This collection contains Dub
meditations about the land of Ethiopia,
ancient kingdom in Afrika, mentioned in the
scriptures, kingdom of Rastafari. Messian
Dread is taking a dub journey to Selassie's
land and discovers the spiritual richness of
the first christian nation on earth. The
titles of the tracks refer to very important
things, places and persons of Ethiopia.
ETHIOPIAN DUB opens with Menelik Department.
Ethiopia is the land of Menelik, the son of
Solomon and father of Rastafari. Ethiopia
reads like a Bible sometimes, the track
Ethiopian Apocalypse remembers this
revelation with exact 777 beats of roots dub
reggae. Musically, this collection
contains a mixture of hard steppers rhythms
such as Menelik Department and the more
mellow one drop, and an occasional two drop
The style will be mostly roots reggae
inspired from the 70's styles, however. Each
track contains a lot of MIDI dub effects, as
Messian Dread has been inspired and
challenged to find out how to create maximum
Dubwize Vibes by creating strictly General
Midi Compatible Files for your listening
pleasure. So wherever you are, whoever you
are inna dis ya babylon, experience my Dub
Meditations in an Ire Vibration! |

| MESSIAN
DREAD - TRIBUTE TO YARED |
| Talking
about Yared, talking about David before he
became king. Talking about creators of
music, inspired by the Most High. King David
was a musician, we know some of his songs.
So we have Yared, the ethiopian musician,
who made Jah Music. This midipack is a
tribute to Yared. You can see an ancient
picture of him on the cover of this pack. A
lot of the riddims or basslines on this
midipack are midi-remakes of earlier Messian
Dread Riddims. There is a big variation of
styles in this pack. Earth Rightfull ruler
is a track comparable to early Black Uhuru,
you will like the Voice in the wilderness:
Original Messian Dread Stylee! Leave Natty
is guaranteed to rock your feet. From a lot
of these riddims, also mp3 files are
available. |

| SURE
DREAD - MELODIC REGGAE |
| The
debut collection of Sure Dread, keyboard
player of reggaeband Jah Roots. Where
Messian Dread's emphasis is a clear hail to
dubwize, Sure's emphasis is the composition,
resulting in ten outstanding reggae midi
files. These tracks are interesting to
listen to as instrumentals, and Sure does an
excelent job in filling gaps, he uses a lot
of instruments on each track. Many tracks
are filled with interesting chord changes,
variations on themes. His foundation is a
melodic bassline and a relaxed drum pattern.
Sure man Dread's capacities as a
keyboard-player are not hidden in these
compositions. The brother's inspiration lies
within Bob Marley and the Wailers, Steel
Pulse, Revelation Time etc. You can hear
these tracks are made for bands. Only, Sure
Dread got the copyright. |

DREAD - DUB MELODIES |
| Sure
Dread in Dub! This midipack consists of
eleven tracks from "Melodic
Reggae" and "Redemption" that
have been transformed into dubs by Messian
Dread. The dubs have been created in the
same spirit as the old skool dub: from the
existing files dubs have been made by
removing instruments and adding effects. The
skillfull work of Sure Dread reaches another
dimension after given the DUB treatment inna
midi-stylee, as you can listen for yourself.
Sit down, relax, enjoy these dubful vibes of
tranquility... |
